FREE Workshop: 12-18 Month Language Workshop May 28th 8pm CST
Hi, I’m Emily Michel, M.S., CCC-SLP.
I’m a licensed speech-language pathologist and mother of two with a passion for helping people communicate with confidence — especially in the moments that matter most.
Over the past several years, I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults in private practice settings, but my work has evolved to focus on early language clients and adults who stutter. I’m especially passionate about helping clients move beyond avoidance and frustration to feel more confident, capable, and in control of their speech in real-world environments — from everyday conversations to professional settings.
In addition to my clinical work, I develop and provide communication training for professionals, including police, fire, and EMS personnel. My goal is to bridge the gap between speech-language pathology and real-world communication demands — helping others better understand and support individuals who stutter, especially in critical or time-sensitive situations.
My approach is collaborative, supportive, and highly individualized. I believe communication is deeply personal, and every person deserves to feel understood, respected, and empowered — not just in therapy, but in their everyday life.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me cooking up a new recipe, chasing sunsets in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, or spending time with my family.
I look forward to supporting you in building communication that feels steady, confident, and truly your own.
